Who I am and why this site exists
My name is Mario. I am a Lyme disease patient, not a doctor. LymeTutor is a personal educational project — not a medical service, clinic, or organisation of any kind.
I built this site because I know firsthand how hard it is to find clear, honest information about Lyme disease. In an ideal world, every person navigating this illness would have a knowledgeable clinician to guide them. In reality, many people find that their doctors are unfamiliar with tick-borne illness, dismiss their symptoms, or are unwilling to engage with the broader picture. That is not an exception — it is the common experience.
LymeTutor exists in that gap. The goal is to help you build knowledge and language to navigate a complex situation — with or without a clinician who understands it. Self-education and self-advocacy are legitimate tools. This site supports that process.
Not medical advice — personal research and experience only
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for professional medical evaluation. Reading this site does not create any kind of doctor-patient relationship.
If you are unwell, please seek the care of a qualified healthcare professional. If you are in an emergency, call emergency services immediately — do not use this website.
Personal experience and independent research
The content on this site is based on my personal experience with Lyme disease and the independent research I have gathered over years of navigating it. It reflects my understanding and interpretation — and that understanding may not align with mainstream medical views, official guidelines, or current scientific consensus.
I share this information because I believe patients deserve access to the full landscape of knowledge — not a curated version of it. That is different from claiming it is all proven, correct, or right for you.
A contested field
Lyme disease is one of the most debated topics in contemporary medicine. There are genuine, ongoing disagreements between major medical organisations about chronic Lyme, the reliability of testing, and the appropriate scope of treatment. This site presents multiple perspectives — including those that diverge from official guidelines — without claiming any of them is definitively correct.
Therapies and methods
This site describes a wide range of approaches that people have used or explored in the context of Lyme disease and co-infections — including conventional antibiotic protocols, herbal treatments, bee venom therapy, ozone therapy, essential oils, frequency-based methods, hyperthermia, and others.
Describing a method does not mean recommending it. The purpose of these descriptions is documentation and education — to map what exists, not to tell you what to do.
Some of the methods described have limited or no scientific validation. Some carry real risks if used incorrectly. Some are historical — reflecting practices used in earlier periods or in different parts of the world. Some may not be available, may be restricted, or may be outright illegal in your country. You are responsible for understanding the laws and regulations that apply to you.
This site does not endorse any specific therapy, practitioner, product, or protocol. Before trying anything — alternative or conventional — consult a qualified professional and understand what you are doing.
No guarantee of accuracy
I have made honest efforts to be accurate. But medical knowledge changes, my understanding evolves, and errors are possible. Nothing here is guaranteed to be complete, current, or correct. Use it as a starting point — not a final word.
